New Release: Yocto Dunfell v1.1 for VAR-SOM-MX7 System on Modules

Variscite is pleased to inform about the Yocto Dunfell v1.1 release for its VAR-SOM-MX7 modules.

Modules: VAR-SOM-MX7 (including VAR-SOM-MX7 and VAR-SOM-MX7-5G).

Release: dunfell-fslc-5.4-2.1.x-mx7-v1.1

Details:

• Filesystem:
  Yocto Dunfell (based on the FSL community BSP).
• Linux kernel:
  Variscite 5.4-2.1.x-imx_var01 branch (based on FSL community branch 5.4-2.1.x-imx, which is based on NXP’s Linux 5.4.24_2.1.0 release and the Linux mainline kernel 5.4.85).
• U-Boot:
  Variscite imx_v2018.03_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga_var02 branch (based on official NXP branch imx_v2018.03_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga, which is based on U-Boot v2018.03).

Noteworthy updates since Dunfell v1.0:

• Generate psplash from logo and bar png images
• Added support for custom CMA sizes
• Dropped pulseaudio and switched to bluez-alsa support
