Variscite is bringing its System on Module (SoM) portfolio into the CELUS Design Platform, giving engineers a faster way to move from initial concept to a production-ready design, with much of the manual component-selection work automated away. The integration pairs Variscite’s hardware with CELUS’ AI Design Assistant, aimed at cutting time out of the early, slow-moving stages of hardware design.
Variscite SoM Integration With NXP’s Block Diagram Designer
The work builds on Variscite’s existing relationship with NXP. Variscite’s SoMs are now featured directly inside the NXP Block Diagram Designer, powered by CELUS, so engineers can build, fine-tune, and finish a design within a single environment.
“Time-to-market is a critical factor in any new project,” said Ofer Austerlitz, VP Business Development and Sales at Variscite. “Pairing Variscite’s leading NXP-based SoM solutions with CELUS’ design platform simplifies development and shortens the path from concept to a working prototype and successful mass production.”
“As we continue to expand the foundation of the NXP Block Diagram Designer, having key partners such as Variscite embrace the platform and provide solutions that our NXP customers can use is the primary focus of our efforts,” added Luca DiFalco, Senior Vice President, Global Channel Sales and Industrial Solutions at NXP. “Our goal is simple: use the NXP Block Diagram Designer to start and finish your design journey in one effort on one platform.”
Variscite’s DART-MX95 System on Module, now on the CELUS platform
Variscite i.MX SoMs Now Live on the CELUS Platform
At launch, CELUS supports three Variscite modules: the i.MX93-based VAR-SOM-MX93, the i.MX 8M Plus-based VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS, and the i.MX95-based DART-MX95. These modules target sectors such as industrial automation, medical devices, and IoT. Additional carrier board reference projects and broader platform integration are already in progress.
“The focus of this partnership is to provide engineers with a clear path from concept to working prototype/production-ready hardware,” said Tobias Pohl, CEO and Co-founder at CELUS. “By leveraging the CELUS Design Platform and our AI Design Assistant capabilities, we are ensuring a highly efficient and effective design journey. Having a technology leader like Variscite on the platform and making their products accessible through ecosystem touchpoints like the NXP Block Diagram Designer gives engineers of all backgrounds the opportunity to design and build with best-in-class products.”
Faster Time-to-Market, Less Manual Component Work
The electronics industry is reaching a real inflection point: intelligent, platform-driven design tools are already reshaping how hardware gets built, not some concept still on the horizon. Variscite is bringing its SoM lineup into the CELUS Design Platform as part of that shift. Rather than manually sifting through components one by one, engineering teams can lean on automated tooling to move faster and stay current with where the technology is headed.
