New Release: Debian Stretch R03 for DART-6UL & VAR-SOM-6UL modules

Variscite is pleased to inform about the latest Debian Stretch release for its DART-6UL & VAR-SOM-6UL modules.

Modules: DART-6UL and VAR-SOM-6UL (including the i.MX6UL, i.MX6ULL & i.MX6ULZ processors and the 5GHz WiFi SOM variants).

Release: var-mx6ul-debian-recovery-sd.v60.

Details:

  • U-Boot updated to Variscite imx_v2018.03_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga_var01 branch (based on official NXP release imx_v2018.03_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga, which is based on U-Boot v2018.03)
  • Linux kernel updated to Variscite imx_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga_var01 branch (based on official NXP release imx_4.14.78_1.0.0_ga, which is based on Linux 4.14.78)
  • DTs of the 5GHz and 2.4GHz WiFi models are now consolidated
  • The DTs are organized to represent the SOMs and their carrier boards separately
  • Fixed a possible hang when going into the lowest bus freq.
  • Added support for SOMs with more than 512MB RAM
  • Added support for the Variscite VAR-SOM-6UL family of SOMs
  • Added support for i.MX6ULZ SOCs to both VAR-SOM-6UL & DART-6UL SOMs
  • Updated Broadcom Bluetooth/WiFi firmware to version 6.0.0.121
  • Other updates and bug fixes
