    Debian Bullseye (11.0)
  • Linux kernel:
    Variscite imx_5.4.70_2.3.2_var01 branch (based on NXP release L5.4.70_2.3.2, which is based on Linux kernel 5.4.70).
  • U-Boot:
    Variscite imx_v2020.04_5.4.70_2.3.2_var01 branch (based on NXP release L5.4.70_2.3.2, which is based on U-Boot v2020.04).

Linux update:

  • Introduced support for pcal6408 (pcal6408 replaces tca6408 on DT8MCustomBoard rev. >= 2.1A)

U-Boot update:

  • Aligned lpddr4_timing.c to latest version generated by RPA tool V6

Linux updates:

  • Added full Docker support
  • Added CAN support to M7 device trees
  • Fixed flexcan pinmux for DT8CustomBoard 1.x
  • Fixed PMIC IRQ iomux settings

new VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS at Embedded World 2026
Variscite will present a new product lineup built around the Smart Mobility Architecture (SMARC) form factor standard during Embedded World 2026, running March 10-12 in Nuremberg, Germany. The debut will feature the first public reveal of the VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS, running on NXP’s i.MX 8M Plus processor. Visitors can find Variscite at booth 4A-342 in the Exhibition Centre.
