Variscite is pleased to inform about the Boot2QT release with the latest QT version (QT 5.9.1) for our i.MX6 family Modules.
Modules: VAR-SOM-MX6, VAR-SOM-SOLO/DUAL, DART-MX6.
Release: morty-b2qt-4.1.15-mx6-v1.0.
Noteworthy updates:
- Initial Boot2QT release for Variscite VAR-SOM-MX6 family
- Add Boot2QT autodetection for recovery SD card creation
- Install latest TI official WiFi firmware
- Install only valid TI BT firmware
- Removed pulseaudio dependencies
- Fixed qdb connection QTBUG-61718
- Fixed qtwebengine compilation QTBUG-61510

Variscite will present a new product lineup built around the Smart Mobility Architecture (SMARC) form factor standard during Embedded World 2026, running March 10-12 in Nuremberg, Germany. The debut will feature the first public reveal of the VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS, running on NXP’s i.MX 8M Plus processor. Visitors can find Variscite at booth 4A-342 in the Exhibition Centre.
