Variscite is pleased to inform about the Android Oreo 8.0.0_1.0.0 release for our i.MX6 family Modules.
Modules: VAR-SOM-MX6, VAR-SOM-SOLO/DUAL and DART-MX6.
Release: Android Oreo 8.0.0_0.0.0-ga-v1.0.

Noteworthy updates:

• Upgraded the Android code base from android-7.1.2_r9 to android-8.0.0_r25.
• Removed the device partition and added the vendor partition.
• Enabled ION-based gralloc and EGL.
• Enabled HIDL HAL for TI WPAN – For Bluetooth
• Enabled HIDL HAL for TI WLAN
• Single fstab for eMMC and SD boot
