Variscite is pleased to inform about the Android Oreo 8.0.0_1.0.0 release for our i.MX6 family Modules.
Modules: VAR-SOM-MX6, VAR-SOM-SOLO/DUAL and DART-MX6
Release: Android Oreo 8.0.0_0.0.0-ga-v1.0.
Noteworthy updates:
- Upgraded the Android code base from android-7.1.2_r9 to android-8.0.0_r25.
- Removed the device partition and added the vendor partition.
- Enabled ION-based gralloc and EGL.
- Enabled HIDL HAL for TI WPAN – For Bluetooth
- Enabled HIDL HAL for TI WLAN
- Single fstab for eMMC and SD boot
- Project Treble support
- Bug Fixes
