NEW! VAR-SOM-OM37, 1GHz Cortex-A8

Variscite announces the release of a System On Module based on  TI’s DM3730 / AM3703 CPUs, with ARM Cortex-A8 cores clocked at up to 1GHz.

VAR-SOM-OM37The VAR-SOM-OM37 includes up to 512MB of RAM and 512MB of flash storage. With an integrated C64+ DSP and PowerVR SGX530, the new System On Module is ideal for advanced multimedia applications. Thanks to its 45nm SoC process, mDDR memory and advanced power management features, the VAR-SOM-OM37 offers the best performance/low-power combination.

  • Sitara DM3730 / AM33703 ARM Cortex-A8 processor at up to 1000MHz
  • 512MB  mDDR
  • 512MB NAND Flash
  • PowerVR™ SGX530 2D/3D hardware accelerator
  • TMS320C64x+ DSP core @800 MHz
  • 10/100 Ethernet
  • USB 2.0: Host, OTG
  • Audio in/out
  • Camera interface
  • Industrial temperature -40 to 85°C

Variscite also offers a more fully featured, touchscreen-enabled VAR-DVK-OM37 development kit. The VAR-DVK-OM37 serves as a complete development kit for evaluation and application development, in the VAR-Om37CustomBoard with a 7″ resistive/capacitive touchscreen and a 12V power supply, as well as serial, Ethernet, and USB cables.

new VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS at Embedded World 2026
Variscite will present a new product lineup built around the Smart Mobility Architecture (SMARC) form factor standard during Embedded World 2026, running March 10-12 in Nuremberg, Germany. The debut will feature the first public reveal of the VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS, running on NXP’s i.MX 8M Plus processor. Visitors can find Variscite at booth 4A-342 in the Exhibition Centre.
