Variscite is pleased to inform about the Yocto Morty v1.0 stable release for our i.MX6, i.MX6 UltraLite and i.MX7 Modules
Modules: VAR-SOM-MX6, VAR-SOM-SOLO/DUAL, DART-MX6, DART-6UL (including 6ULL variant and 5G variant) and VAR-SOM-MX7.
Release: Yocto Morty v1.0.
Noteworthy updates:
- Yocto Morty FSL Community-based release
- Update to latest revision of WIFI/BT firmware
- Add Bluetooth OBEX support
- Add Bluetooth A2DP support
- Fix reboot sequency for recovery SD card
- Add QT5 dependencies and examples for fsl_framebuffer backend

Variscite will present a new product lineup built around the Smart Mobility Architecture (SMARC) form factor standard during Embedded World 2026, running March 10-12 in Nuremberg, Germany. The debut will feature the first public reveal of the VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS, running on NXP’s i.MX 8M Plus processor. Visitors can find Variscite at booth 4A-342 in the Exhibition Centre.
