NXP i.MX8M Plus System on Module

Variscite’s i.MX 8M Plus modules combine cost-effective Cortex-A53 processing with integrated AI acceleration. The VAR-SOM-MX8M-PLUS and DART-MX8M-PLUS feature a Cortex-M7 real-time co-processor and a 2.3 TOPS NPU for AI/ML computation, alongside 2D/3D graphics acceleration and an Image Signal Processor. These iMX8M SoMs excel in multimedia, machine vision, and AI edge computing and are ideal for sectors such as industrial automation, smart cities infrastructure, and IoT edge computing. They are pin-compatible with other SoMs of respective VAR-SOM and DART Pin2Pin families, allowing customers to scale from cost-optimized designs to high-performance without redesigning the carrier board while preserving long-term flexibility.
